the dress
My dress is a Maggie Sottero destination gown...despite the fact that we're getting married across the street from our house. Literally. (Well, our reception is right across from our house -- the ceremony is across town.)
I did not want a ball gown, a heavy train, crinoline under the dress, etc. The most important thing for me is that I need to be able to DANCE at my wedding. While trying the dress on, I spun around and kicked my leg in the air. That's how my mother knew it was the dress. I didn't cry, I danced.

the shoes
My shoes are Badgley Mischka's Fuller in teal. My fiance is super tall -- almost 13" taller than me. With these shoes, he's only about 8" taller than me. :)
I also had a peacock feather shoe clip made by a vendor on etsy.com. I'll be wearing it on the ankle strap part so that it travels up my leg. Love it!
